Those two words have caused more uproar in the dental community than just about any other, save perhaps "water fluoridation".
In the first place, preventive dentistry does NOT prevent dentistry. It does move dentistry away from tinkering in precious metals and exotic materials, and back into the practice of medicine. Dr. Jones, the founder of POH, would tell anyone who would listen that in his opinion, dentistry was truly the first specialty in the practice of medicine.
